This fall/winter be sure to:
- Exterior
- Caulk windows
- Repair screens
- Seal driveways
- Replace rotted wood (trim/soffits)
- Test gargage door “reversing system”
- Clean and check guttering/install gutter guards
- Clean chimney
- Tuckpointing of brick
- Trim back bushes/trees touching side of house
- Interior
- Caulk shower/tubs
- Regrout showers/tubs
- Install new furnace filters
- Check humidifer
- Drain sediment and refill hot water heater
- Decks
- Repair bad boards on decks
- Safety
- Test GFCI outlets
- Change automatic thermostat settings
- Change smoke detector atteries
- Check carbon monoxide detectors
- Disconnect hoses before the first freeze
- Get winter snow removal tools/salt ready
- Think about winter projects (i.e. create office roms, finish basements, interior painting, install new shelving, update your bathroom, etc.) you want done.
